My Story

Welcome to Hanover Living!  I'm Laurie Dannison, publisher of the magazine. I was born and raised on the South Shore, spent most of my childhood on the tennis court and eventually left the area for Pennsylvania where I attended Lafayette College.  After college, I moved to Boston and spent a decade working at Cellular One. I activated thousands of phone lines as a Major Account Representative for businesses and residents all over the city, in addition to working in the customer service, fraud, and collections world in the wireless industry.  After becoming a mother, I worked as a Hub Connector for the Jewish Community Center,  where I organized meetups and events for moms and families on the South Shore, developing connections and community. My career then took me to the South Shore Charter Public School, taking on the Director of Development role, planning major events and fundraising.  A life member and former board member of Congregation Sha'aray Shalom, I am a proud mother to three teenagers and am still active running, biking, captaining tennis teams, and bringing the community of Hanover just a little bit closer together.
